NORMAL SERVICE BEING RESUMED IN A BUOYANT HOMES MARKET
31 August 2021
THE SOLICITORS Property Centres in Dundee and Perth have re-opened their doors to homebuyers across Dundee, Angus, North Fife and Perth and Kinross.
And the popular Solicitors Property Guide can be collected from an array of outlets across Tayside at a time when the housing market is maintaining its post-lockdown buoyancy.
The Centres and our member legal firms have risen splendidly to the challenges posed by the pandemic over the last 18 months, with an on-line presence oiling the wheels of the local homes market.
But the reopening of the stylish Centres in the heart of Dundee and Perth on Wednesday 1st September heralds another welcome step back towards normality.
TSPC manager Lynne Hill noted that 3008 properties, with a value in excess of £518 million, were sold through the market-leading Whitehall Crescent Centre in the 12 months to the end of June - and there has been no hint of a slowdown over the last two months.
“The demand for properties across the market has been quite remarkable since we emerged from the initial lockdown,” said Lynne.
“It has continued unabated, prompting many properties to change hands for well in excess of the Home Report valuation.
“Properties with gardens and with a room offering scope for home working have proved particularly popular.
“While we have a proud track record stretching back more than half a century, the Centres’ websites certainly came into their own when potential buyers were unable to visit us in person.
“The TSPC listed 3255 properties over the course of 12 months. Nearly 13,000 registered users ensured more than 17 million property pages were viewed, with many of these subsequently translating into sales.
“Together, TSPC and PSPC legal firms sold 3696 properties with a value of over £641 million, once again highlighting that no one markets more homes in the region.
“Centre staff are delighted to be welcoming clients back to a safe and secure environment and we know from feedback that the return of the ever-popular Solicitors Property Guide will be welcomed across the region.”
